Daytona:
Hai! Created by Taylor Sheridan, Yellowstone is probably our favorite TV series of the past six years! Even though I have the DVDs of it, I cannot resist binge – watching the marathons of it on the Paramount Network’s holiday marathons! I like the 1883 and 1923 prequel series too, and I am looking forward to the forthcoming spin-offs!
It has so many wonderful characters! We had to wait a whole year for the final half of season five, and expecting it to be the finale, my eager anticipation was quite high, and like many other fans I was quite curious how the show would deal with the lack of its star Kevin Costner, or how it might have differed had he remained until the end.
Kianalani:
Fans and critics have mixed feelings about how the final season played out, but the last time I noticed a lot of controversy over the plot & developments was maybe the reactions to the final season of Game of Thrones. I will not spoil the plot, which continued to give the sumptuous immersion into cowboy culture, but it did seem rushed at times and I wish there had been a few more episodes
I wish there had been a few more episodes; and I thought the fates of a couple of characters were unnecessary, but in the home stretch a lot of characters’ actions, resolutions and fates seemed perfect, as hoped, foreshadowed, or as expected for a pretty good ending; and we have been enjoying Taylor Sheridan’s new series Landman! We are done and now here is Nya-sensei to review–
Doctor Who “Joy to the World”
Nyanko:
Arigato! Șo it was about a year ago that the 15th Doctor, portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa, first appeared in the 60th Anniversary special “The Giggle”. which was followed by his first full season as the Doctor. I liked him from the start, and I think his best epurrsodes were at the end of that (14th) season with “Rogue”, “The Legend of Ruby Rose” and “Empire of Death”.
Last month on Disney +, we were treated to the latest of the Doctor Who Christmas Specials, which tend to be a lot of fun and quite poignant, and this’ll was no exception! Written by Steven Moffat and directed by Alex Pillaiv, in “Joy to the World” the Doctor visits The Time Hotel which has doors to the different places in time, space, and mysterious cosmic danger!
Among his companions are Nicola Coughlan as the titular Joy, and Steph de Whallley as Anita; with, to the lesser extent, Joel Fry as Trev, and Jonathan Aris as Melnak- who is Silurian! There is the cameo by Millie Gibson as his purrior companion Ruby; however, the most emeowtional scene for me involved Fiona Scott as Joy’s mom, but I should not reveal any more!
With the great plot, purrformances, sets, FX, cinemeowtography, direction, editing, sound, mewsic, “easter eggs & surprises, I think that “Joy to the World” Is another of the 15th Doctor’s best tales thus far, and one of the bestest of the Christmas Specials, so I will give it the high purraise as I eagerly await the next season! Also on Disney+, we got to see Marvel’s-
Agatha All Along!
Nyoka:
Hai! It is hard to believe that we are already about 3/4 of the way into Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s live-action and animated movies and TV series, which began 2 years ago with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania!
Since then, we have expurrrienced Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Secret Invasion, Loki Season 2, What If…?, The Marvels, Echo, Deadpool & Wolverine, and the 9 epurrsodes of Agatha All Along
!In this spinoff of WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn wonderfully returns as the naughty witch Agatha Harkness, who assembles a new coven to traverse the fabled Witches Road in order to regain her meowgickal meowjo.
The coven is compurrised of Jennifer the Brew Witch (portrayed by Sasheer Zamata), Sharon the Green Witch (Debra Jo Rupp), Alice the Warrior Witch (Ali Ann), Lila the Oracle Witch (Patti LuPone) and Billy the Witch Boy (Joe Locke)!
During their quest, we learn more about their personalities, motivations, histories and connections to Wanda as they are tested and hunted by dark forces, such as Rio (Aubrey Plaza), Vertigo (Okwui Okpokwasili) and Snake (Marina Mazepa)!
I think that it has excellent purrrformances, cinemeowtography, FX, mewsic, character developments, myth-making, action, humor & drama, so I will give it the A as in Agatha! I am done, and nyow here is Day-sama to discuss
Nosferatu!
Mielikki:
So like, I liked Robert Eggers’ prior movies The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman, so I was like totally eager to see his remake of F. Murnow’s 1922 Nosferatu movie Eggers’ movies have such amazing cinematography, eerie ambience, captivating plots, and the brilliant performances, fur shur!
That tradition continues superbly in this latest horror movie which he wrote & directed, and it wonderfully stars the dream team of Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Bill Skarsgard, and Simon McBurney!
So like, the 1922 tale of Niosferatu was an adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, This version is set in Germany and Transylvania, Most of the film’s sets and locations were shot in the Czech Republic, with the totally awesome production design, art direction, costumes, make-up, sound, music, FX & editing!
It is rated R for the nudity, sexuality, violence,.gore, harsh language and scares. I thought there pace seemed rushed, and I wish it lingered more on the scenes, but it is quite the sensual, intense, grueling tale which I will give the grade of A Minus! Now I will turn The Mew over to Myayr, who will start our
purrinted-media mewsings, with her
review of Monster Musume vol. 18!
Mary Nyan
Arigato! Written & drawn by Okayado (who is also the author of 12 Beast and Ma Ma Mia) and originally published by Tokuma Shoten in Japan, Monster Musume is a sexy comedic urban fantasy manga of the harem trope with ample fan-service, starring the liminal ladies (monster girls) who are romantic rivals for Kimihito, the human guy in whose house they reside!
Published here in English by Seven Seas, it is rated for older teen readers (of ages 16+) due to nudity, skimpy attire, sexual themes, slapstick violence, fan service, lewd and dark humor aplenty.. Purriced $14.99 in the US & $18.99 in Canada, vol. 18 has 156 pages (172 B&W + 5 full color) of manga chapters 74-80, bonus pages, character purrofiles and 2 pages of ads.
It was translated by Nan Rymer, lettered by Karis Page, edited by Shanti Whitesides and purroof read by Hayame, with the purroduction design by Brennan Thorne & Christina McKenzie, cover design by Nicky Lim and quality control by Dave Murray. Returning with Kimihito in this volume are Miia the lamia, Papi the harpy, Centorea the centauress, Merou the mermaid…
… Suu the slime girl, Rachnera the spider girl, their government case worker Ms. Smith, and the Monster Ops team of Manako the cyclops, Tio the ogre, Doppel the doppleganger and Zombina the zombie. Several new characters of various species are introduced such as Fee, Lutro, Lima, Aide, Kiruraru, Kuuki, Aya, Maika, Shii Mii, Gil, Mimi, Hakuto and and Arbatel.
This volume’s plot is the bit different from mewsual, because much of it occurs in the altered reality in which they are all students at Grimoire Public High School where the wacky romantic comedy antics of the school life mysteriously ensue! As mewsual, it is not for the purrudish folks or the widdle kitties, but it issexy fun with beautiful art! Nyow here is Mike-sensei to discuss

Now for a graphic novel which is not for widdle kitties, here is Trini-chan to tell us about
Empowered vol. 12!
Trini-chan:
Arigato! Empowered is Adam Warren’s sexy & (usually) comedic manga – inspired super-hero tale since 2007, in which the titular character has the awesome powers, many victories and some good friends, but she also has the angsty self – esteem and family issues. Her powers stem from her skin tight alien hyper-membrane costume, which tends to suffer the damages!
Among the many other recurring characters are her boyfriend Thugboy, her best friends Ninjette and Sistah Spooky, Caged Netherwolf, and other super heroes. We have met Adam Warren a few times at the Heroes Convention on the mainland in Charlotte, and are particularly fond of his Dirty Pair, Bubblegum Crisis, Gen 13, Teen Titans, and Livewires tales too!
Originally published in comic book form, it is currently the web comic at http://empoweredcomic.com, but it is not for the widdle kitties due to the sexuality, nudity, violence & language! Published by Dark Horse, Volume 12 is the 9” x 6.5” x .625” trade paperback with the 216 Black and White pages written & drawn by Adam, plus the cover art colored by Ryan Kinnaird.
This longly-awaited volume is the very bittersweet experience, as it is the final issue in this graphic novel format, although Adam states in the book’s afterward that Empowered will eventually return in another format after an indefinite hiatus. So, on one paw, it is sad to see the saga cease for however long, but on the other paw, Vol. 12 is a sumptuously beautiful thing to behold.
Also bittersweet is what transpires in the climactic plot. As not to spoil much, all I will say is that much of it involves a never-ending reboot of her universe, with some major character developments along the way. Some of the imagery is rather disturbing, tragic, and gory, but there are moments to cheer for too! That is all that I should say! Now here is Kami-sn to discuss the
Official Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Book!
Melanakeami:
Hai! I am one of the Swifts so I was eagerly awaiting this Target Store exclusive hardcover book which was published by Taylor Swift Publications and written by Taylor herself! This $39.99, full color 11.125” x 9.5” x .875” 264 page hardcover book Is quite the spectacular with hundreds of photos from her legendary concert tour!
It includes some backstage & rehearsal photos, and costume designs too! It has many full page pics, two-page spreads, and a couple of gatefolds! There is not a lot of text, but compared to what you might pay for most thin trade paperback concert program books,
I think this is a great value and a gorgeous memento of the Eras Tour! I will highly recommend it, but I do wish she would release a live album and the Eras concert film DVD! I am done, and now here is Ilyana to review
We’ll Prescribe You a Cat!
Ilyana:
