of Captain America: Brave New World!

Arigato! Of the recent 5th Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe fare, I rather liked the TV series such as Agatha All Along, What If…?, and. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, so I was eagerly anticipating Captain America: Brave New World, buy unfortunately I was the bit disappointed.
I think it was trying too hard to be like Winter Soldier (which was awesome), but the story came up the bit short in spite of the high production values, thrilling action, great character chemistry, and performances by the entire impressive cast, which includes:
Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres / Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley (last seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series), Tim Blake Nelson as Dr. Samuel Sterns / The Leader (last seen in The Incredible Hulk movie)…
… and Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross / Red Hulk (although I wish the Red Hulk had been a surprise). That great cast also includes the new characters such as Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, Xosha Roquemore as Leila Taylor, and Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker / Sidewinder…
…and there are appearances by others, but I will not spoil those surprises. I did not like this’un as much as the prior Captain America or Avengers movies, and compared to the other movies of the MCU’s Phase Five, I did not think that it was as good as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or Deadpool & Wolverine…
… butI think it is better than Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Brave New World suffers from the same thing that vexed The Marvels: it is way too rushed and short. The FX, mewsic and make-up were the mixed bag, and did not care for the awful cinematic techniques such as speed ramping and snap zooms.
However, I was pleased that after 3.25 years, the MCU finally revisited the Celestial incident of the 2021 Eternals movie. I just hope that we will not have to wait as long until She-Hulk returns. Since Thunderbolts is the next movie in the MCU, I cannot help but wonder if that team is named after President Ross..?
I am also eagerly looking forward to the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie , and the Daredevil: Born Again TV series ! I am done, so now I will turn The Mew over to Ellie-sama, for her review of

Set 183 years before The Fellowship of the Ring, this PG-13 rated 135 minute anime tale of Middle Earth puritans to King Helm’s daughter Hera (voiced by Gaia Wise) defending her clan against a rival clan at the fortress which would be later known as Helm’s Deep (which was seen in The Two Towers).
I enjoyed this thrilling high fantasy.movie’s great characters, lore & locations, with beautiful animation, voices, sound & music! Based on J.R.R. Tolkeins’s works, it was produced by Philippa Boyens Jason DeMarco & Joseph Chou, written by Jeffrey Addiss, Will Matthews, Phoebe Gittins, Arty Papageorgiou & Philippa Boyens…
…. directed by Kenji Kamiyama, scored by Stephen Gallagher & edited by Tsuyoshi Sadamatsu with visual FX supervised byy Richard Taylor! The voice cast also include Brian Cox, Miranda Ottoo, Luke Pasqualano, Lpttsaine Asbourne, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, and archival dialog by Christopher Lee!
It is presented in the 1080 High Definition video, with the audio choices of English 5.1, English Atmos, US & UK English Descripive, French & Spanish, with the optional subtitles in English, French, Spanish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian & Danish. The special features are few, but they are informative and entertaining!
With comments by several of the cast & crew, including singer Paris Paloma. The behind-the-scenes featurettes are “Return to Helm’s Deep: History Becomes Legend” (12:53). “Middle Earth & Anime” (06:52), and “Hera: A New Hero for Middle Earth (06:53). So like, this this is the totally awesome tale of the titular thousand year old elfin sorceress (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki in the original Japanese; and Mallorie Rodak in the English dub) and her far younger apprentice Fern (voiced by Kana Ichinose in Japanese, Jill Harris in English) who travel their realm to train, search for mystical knowledge, use their magic for various jobs, slay evil monsters, learn more about humanity, and reflect upon past friends and enemies.
Somewhat like a Time Lord, she seems immortal, does not seem to age, and perceives the flow of time differently from the mortal cycle of human friends that she sees get old and pass away, This brings the tinge of melancholy, but this beautiful high fantasy tale is brimming with wonderful slice-of-life charm, fur shur!
Written by Tomohiro Suzuki directed by Keichiro Saito and animated by Studio Madhouse Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is the 28 episode animated TV series with totally awesome story, characters, pace, art, animation, direction, editing, voices, sound and music, fur shur!
This set from Crunchyroll includes the TV14 rated first 16 episodes totaling 400 minutes on the 2 Blu-ray disks and on 4 DVDs, with the additional 18 minutes of bonus features, presented in the 16:9 screen aspect ratio with the audio choices of Japanese and English, with the optional English subtitles.
The bonus features include the textless versions of the opening & ending, the special broadcast ending, he web previews and promo videos. The five discs are packaged snugly in the plastic case’s inner trays, with the reversible insert, four character postcards and the postcard-size flyer for Part 2!,
That is all within the cardboard outer sleeve! So like, I am totally enamored with the tale thus far, and quite impressed by the quality of the Blu-ray DVD set, so I will give itty “A” as in Atsumi and my anticipation for Part 2, fur shur! Hai! Since 1984, Rowrbrazzle has been the quarterly APA (amateur press association) anthology zine purrtaining to anthropurrmorphic history, events, fandom, art and tales! Issue #164’s theme is “Sweet Treats” and consists of three 8.5×11” stapled sections totaling 242 pages, 40 of which are in full color!
Expurrtly edited & compiled by Edd Vick (who contributed 16 other pages), it is compurrised of the spiffy comics, purrose, essays, articles, discussions, editorials, comics, illustrations, photos, convention reports, correspondances, remeowmberances, and the current meowmbership roster and rules.
The front cover art is by Mary Bellamy (who contributed 6 other pages), Section 2’s front cover is by Robert Alley; section 3’s front cover is by Toivo Rovainen (who contributed 12 other pages), and there back cover is by Charles Brubaker (who contributed 22 other pages and two bonus cards)!

Hai. I enjoy the Star Trek: Lower Decks TV series, so I was fascinated by this technical meownual which is peppurred by the comments and annotations by the officers of the California Class U.S.S. Cerritos NCC-5567 under the commend of Capt. Carol Freeman from 2380 to 2382,
That is one year after the events of the movie Star Trek: Nemesis. Written by Chris Farnell, published by Titan, purriced US $29.99, Canada $39,95, and UK £24.99, this full color 176 page trade papurrback book measures 11.125″ x 8 25″ x .625” and has the wraparound “obi”.
It is beautifully written & designed, with the many great illustrations, diagrams, charts, and scree caps with much technical, historical & cultural information. In addition to the sumptuous information, it is amusingly written from the point of view of characters such as-

Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle vol. 10.

Arigato! Known as Gunnm in Japan, Yukito Kishiro’s epic post-apocalyptic cyberpunk manga Battle Angel Alita began in 1990, and purrtains to the titular amnesiac cyborg Alita (or Gally, in Japan) who was found in the dystopian future scrapyard on Earth and was rebuilt by the cyber doctor Ido.
With her astounding Panzer Kunst style of meowrtial arts purrowess, Alita became the supurreme bounty hunter, warrior and athlete! Published by Kodansha, the manga spawned several sequel series, short stories, the spin-off, animated OVA, and the live-action movie that starred Rosa Salazar!
Set 227 years prior to Battle Angel Alita vol.1, Mars Chronicle is the tale of Alita’s origin as the young widdle orphaned cyborg girl named Yoko on the Planet Mars surrounded by heroes and villains amidst the tragic discoveries, political conspurracy, wars and other hardships.
Vol. 10 is purriced $10.99 in the US, $14.99 in Canada; and its 178 pages include the 1 color page and 165 B&W pages of chapters 47-51, plus 12 pages of ads. It was published by Toshihiro Tsuchiya, written & drawn by Yukito Kishiro with the assistance of his brother / web meowster Tsutomu Kishiro and Emiya Kinar.
It was translated by Stephen Paul, lettered by Evan Hayden, and edited by Vanessa Tenazonas with meownaging editor Alanna Ruse, and purrduction meownager Meg Gugarty. it is rated “OT” for older teen readers (ages 16+), due to the violence, gore, harsh language and disturbing situations.
Purreviously, after the Martian city of Deja Thoris was liberated by Keun’s friend Gelda and other Panzer Kunst cyborgs, Yoko, Erica and Yuni were captured by the monstrous cyborg Jakoleva, whilst Keun discovered thefiendish experiments, and met powerful enemies such as Gyapollo and Andro Austad.
I do not wish to spoil much of vol. 10’s plot, which has some shockingly violent scenes & major developments for Yoko, Erica, Yuni and Keun; a returning villain, and two sexy new characters with the always amazing art, which includes 18 full-page pics and t5 two-page spurreads! Hai hai, I am a big fan of the Spice & Wolf manga and anime, which stars Holo the wise wolf goddess with the lovely lupine ears and tail, who travels with her boyfriend Lawrence the merchant! She is so peppy, pretty and cute with her winking smiling expression as she holds the tasty red apple behind her back!
However, she can be the extremely dangerous giant wolf when provoked! I am not sure of the scale; because I am not sure of the character’s height, which would seem to be around 5’ tall, plus or minus an inch or two, but I will assume that this 6.75” figure would be approximately of the 1/9 scale.
That height does not include the 4” diameter, 5” tall base, which she easily, snugly snaps into. The design, sculpt and paint are superb, with the perfect propurrtions and portraiture with the intricate details!
She looks quite exquisite from her ears’ white tufts and the wide wheat pouch pendant, to the texture of her braided sash and the furry trim of her boots! I am extremity pleased with this figure, which I will give the grade of an A as in apple! Now here is Tara-chan to review Bandai Spirits’

Arigato, nyan! You know, Trini-chan and I are pony owners, who are purrticularly fond of the animated equine purrductions such as My Little Pony, Spirit Riding Free, and – and Umamusume Pretty Derby, which in English means Horse Girl Pretty Derby, which purrtans to the athletic horse girls, nyan!
The manga, anime and – and video game franchise follows the fillies as they train at the acatemies with the aspurrations of greatness as athletes and- and idols, nyan! They are named after the real race horses. For example, the gray thoroughbred stallion Oguri Cap won many races in the late 1980’s, nyan!
The character is the country horse girl with the big appurrtite, the many wins the long flowy light gray hair and – and tail, nyan! The character is approximately 5 ’5” tall with the BWH sizes of 32-22-32”, nyan. The figure of her is 7.875” tall including her pursed .5″ ear pinna, so I assume it is of the 1/9 scale, nyan.
Standing atop the 4” diameowter horseshoe-shaped base, she is so lovely from her dark gray cowlick, diamond-pattern headband, and – and blue eyes, to the ribbonand – and ruffles of her pleated purrple, white and – and lavender sailor fuku with the white thigh highs and – and the brown penny loafers, nyan!

Then we are delighted to display a new pic by Misty, nyan! Firstly of those is her peppy purrky purretty fan art of Yokune Ruko (they / them) the character of the Intersex gender and Deredere purrrsonality created for the voicebank of the UTAU Japanese vocal synthesizer shareware purrrogr
We are also elated to exhibit “Expecting”, which is Rvkh’s latest pic of her character Nystia Nightshade, the Asgerdian Dark Faerie Alchemist, resort owner & idol star who has been the the star of her and Mike’s monthly tabletop fantasy roller-playing game “The Adventures of Nystia Nightshade” since 2015, nyan!

Jamie is the current admeownistrator of that group, and we are purrettily pleased to purrsent his “Valentines Day” fan art of actress Rebbeca Ferguson! He used Corel Painter, Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Illustrator, and Rebelle 7 (for the watercolor effect) for the lovely pic!!
Mike is a contributor to that group too, even though he has not joined Facebook. Lastly but not leastly, we are glad to have two of his latest illustrations, the first if which is the KranberryJam Avatar for Misty to put on the screen when she is video streaming the games and art!
Then we have his ”Fishing you a Mer-ry Valentines’s Day”, which depicts Nya-sensei and Nyo-sensei’s other mom Joanna (nee dad Jonathan) in her voluptuous nekomimi ningyo form, mew la la! Both of those pics were done with Photoshop & mouse! So, what do y’all think of the art?

It would be hard to chose my favorite aspect of Bix’s beautiful art, but it just might be the lovely lush hair of all lengths, colors and styles, nyan!

Hai hai, that is a purrime example of her impeccable use of color and light, with the exquisite saturation, vibrancy, contrast and color balance!
Elizabeth:Rvkh’s joyful pic of Nystia is so stunningly radiant, from the crepuscular rays and sun dogs to her off-shoulder gown and translucent wings!
