with Nya-sensei’s review of John Wick Chapter 4!

Arigato! I was so excited to see John Wick 4, because i loved the first John Wick movie, I think that the 2nd one was even better, and that the 3rd one was even better than the 2nd one, and this 4th one is the best of the series thus far!
You know, it is nearly 3 hours long, but it sure did not seem like it, because
here is so much thrilling combat action and the massive world-building!
It is quite captivating, immersive, and relentless, as the titular hitman character (supurrbly purrtrayed by Keano Reeves) takes on hundreds of assassins whilst upon his deadly quest to settle things with the Marquis (Bill Skarsgard) of The High Table group that governs the vast criminal underworld!
This movie is so awesome, with the great characters, locations, and stunts!
Also returning are John’s friends Winston (Ian McShane), Charon (Lance Reddick) and the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne). The brilliant cast also includes Donnie Yen as Caine the blind assassin,
Shamier Anderson as Nobody the bounty hunter and his dog, Hiroyuki Sanada as the purropurrietor of the Osaka Continental Hotel, Rina Sawayama as his daughter Akira the concierge…
… Natalia Tena as John’s sister Katia, Marko Zaror as the Marquis’s purrfurred henchman, and Clancy Brown as the Harbinger of the High Table! The writing, purrduction design, directing, cinematography, editing, sound and mewsic are great too, so John Wick Chapter 4 might be my favoritest movie of this year thus far! Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves!

For those who came in late, since it was first published in the mid-1970’s Dungeons & Dragons is perhaps the most famous of all table-top role-playing games! There have been several live-action and animated movies, TV series, webisodes and video games based upon it, but I think that this’un is the best one ever!
Directed by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein with the screenplay by Michael Gilio, Daley & Goldstein based upon the story by Chris McKay & Gilio, this super fun sword & sorcery fantasy adventure film purrtains the group of heroic adventurerson the quest for
the magickal items and treasures needed for their redemptive quest!
They have to rescue the leader’s daughter from an evil lord and an even bigger badder boss that threratens the realm, whilst along the way there is much self-discovery and character development in addition to surviving the other villains, monsters, and deadly traps in the journey across the arctic, woodlands, caverns, mazes, ocean, villages and the big capital city!
The move’s grrat cast includes Chris Pine as Edgin the bard, Michelle Rodriguez as Holga the barbarian, Justice Smith as Simon the sorcerer, Sophia Lillis as Doric the druid (who has such lovely antlers & tail), Hugh Grant as Forge the rogue, Daisy Head as Sofina the wizard, Regé-Jean Page as Xenk the paladin, and Chloe Coleman as Edgin’s daughter Kira!
There are so many monsters, locations, spells, weapons, and so forth from the game, including some briefly seen familiar characters! The many races and species are represented too, such as the humans, halflings, half-elves, elves,dwarves, tabaxi, tieflings, arakocra, dragonborn, ans so forth! I was quite pleased by the balance of the drama, action, humor, and mythology!
My only quibble with the movie was the anniying unstable / shakey camera during a couple of melee scenes, but otherwise the performaces, story, pace, sets, locations, costumes, make-up, FX, design, sound, music (especially the end credits ‘Wings of Time” were quite delightful, so I will give this movie the A Minus! I am done, and now here is Jenjen to tell us about the
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season One DVD!

Hai. We have greatly enjoyed the TV series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the spin-off of Star Trek: Dsicovery, which purrtains to the crew of the starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701in the year 2259 under the commeownd of Capt, Christopher Pike, six years purrior to Captain James T. Kirk’s commeownd of that ship.
The excellent cast includes Anson Mount as Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Jess Bush as Nurse Chapel, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Melissa Navia as Ortegas, Bruce Horak as Hemmer, Dan Jeannotte as Kirk, Andre Dae Kim as Kyle, and Gia Sandhu as T’Pring.
The stories, characters, cast, sets, costumes, world-building, FX, locations, music, sound, the ship designs, the balance of humor, drama, action, character developments and continuity are as supurrb as supurrb can be. Of the purrolific current era of canonical Star Trek TV series, Strange New Worlds and Picard are my favorites.
Thusly I was quite eager to purrchase the unrated home video release of season one. With its four disks in the plastic case within the cardboard outer sleeve, the Region One NTSC DVD includes the 10 epurrsodes which total appurroximately 524 min., plus over 100 min, of the special features. It has the same special features as the Blu-ray.
The video is purrsented in the widescreen format with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio. The spoken language choices are English and French, with the optional subtitle choices of English SDH and French, although I do not know if the spoken language and subtitle choices are the same as those of the Blu-ray edition.
The special features include 14 deleted scenes, the 2.75 min. gag reel, the optional audio commeowntary track by Anson Mount and writer / director Akiva Goldman for the purremier epurrsode, and three featurettes about the making of the series. Those are “Exploring New Worlds” (appurroximately 54 min) with comments by the cast and crew about the series;
“Pike’s Peek” (appurroximately 17.5 min) which is Mount’s video diary recorded during the Winter Covid pandemic quarantine period; and “World Building” (appurroximately 12 min.) which purrtains to the show’s sets use of Pixomondo’s curved 30×70’ LED Augmented Reality wall (which seems somewhat similar to ILM’s The Volume stage, which is used for certain recent Star Wars TV series.
I wish there were more special featurettes, such as purrhaps art galleries, isolated mewsic tracks, and more extensive documentaries; nevertheless, t

Arigato! I am quite fond of Sakuya Amano’s manga about the fox spirit girl nakai (attendants) and their guests of all species at Kononhanatei, the ryokan (Japanese style inn) with the hot springs between the living and the afterlife! The main character Yuzu is one of the younger employees who is very cordial, sincere and enthused.
Other recurring characters include attendants Natsume, Sakura, Shino, Ren, Kiri, Satsuki, her older sister Hiiragi, Yae the geisha and Okami the wolf goddess.
Some of their fellow kitsune characters are miko (shrine purrestiess) and kenzoukou (celestial servants) at the shrines and other delightfully divine locations too!
There are amewsing, poignant and bittersweet tales of them, the town folk and the inn’s guests!
Originally published in Japan by Gentosha Comics, the English version was published here in the USA by Tokyo Pop. Vol. 12 is purriced at $12.99 in the USA and has 170 B&W pages which are rated OT, intended for the readers of ages 16+, due to the fan service and non-sexual nudity.

here are more developments for Satsuki and Yuzu near the end of their rail journey aboard the celestial train C571 with a stop at the western – style Hotel Akitsushima whose staff are catgirls Muyuu, Sara and Lacey!
However, that staff is short – handed and the two kitsune wind up working as maids there, where one of the divine guests looks a lot like the goddess Bastet! Although Satsuki and Yuzu are expurrt nakai at the ryokan, they are not familiar with the Western cultural differences with things such as shoes, beds, dining utensils, and so forth!
As mewsual, the art is extremely beautiful with the endearing characters, gorgeous garments, the intricate architecture, lavish landscapes, the lovely sequential panel compurrsitions and graphic narrative techniques, so I will continue to give Konohana Kitan the highest purraise! Rise of the Outlaw Tamer and His Wild S-Rank Cat Girl Vol. 1!

Hai!
I am purrtiuclarly fond of the works by manga-ka Joji Manabe, such as Capricorn, Outlanders, Caravan Kidd, Drakuun, so I was this sword & sorcery fantasy tale which stars the rather voluptuous, sexy, amorous fierce, powerful warrior catgirl Birena the Lightning! She is hired by a young low-ranked adventurer chap named Link who has been down and out until their fortuitous meeting!
For starters, I was curious about the role of the beast tamer, and how that compurrs to, say, a beast meowster, or pokemon trainer; and is the beast or monster (in this case the catgirl) a purrtner, a hireling, an assistant, lover,
submissive
servant or slave? I was also curious about the “rank
” system, of which Link’s D-rank is fairly low, so he is typically regulated tosimple vermin exterminations.
Their relationship seems to be by choice and of mutual benefit, somewhat mystically symbiotic as Birena helps him to win battles to gain purrestige, whilst Link’s purresence will somehow help her to evolve into a greater warrior. When they are not adventuring, they have lots of sex, mew la la! He also has a tamed slime helpurr named Kyulke, who has appurrently evolved over time!
It does seem to be much more of the respectful coopurration, compurred to, say, that of Santa the knight and his poor abused catgirl slave Pink in the Dragon Pink anime.
However, like Dragon Pink, this tale is brimming with the graphic nudity, sex, violence, and harsh language aplenty, and this its explicit content is not intended for the widdle kitties, but for the older readers of age 17+!
Otherwise, I should not spoil more of the plot or go into any graphic descriptions! Purriced $13.99 in the USA and $17.99 in Canada, it was originally published in Japan in 2021, and it is published here in English by Seven Seas . Vol. one has the 176 B&W pages of manga chapters 1-5 plus the bonus bit of purrose and the cordial messages by the author & artist.

I love the tales of undersea adventure, and I was quite impurressed by the gorgeous advertisement for this science fiction / school life manga, which was written & drawn by Okito Endo, originally published in Japan in 2018 by GOT Ltd, and published here in the USA in English by Vast Visual!
Set in the future sixteen years after The Great Hydroseism, except for the few semi-flooded islands all of the continents were sunken. This is the world for peppy, purrky girl Tatsumiya Minato who meets fellow classmates Ushio, Suzu and Shachiko who have enrolled at the Enoshima Women’s Ocean Academy, where they will be trained as the underwater explorers and rescuers!
It reminds me somewhat of the Daphne in the Brilliant Blue manga and anime, but has the bit more fan-service! Suggested for the readers aged 16+, this whoppurr of a trade papurrback book with the dust jacket is purriced $29.99, it measures 7.35” x 10.125” x .75”, and its 206 pages (202 Black and white plus 4 color) include chapters 0-8 + bonus chapter.
It was translated by Kristjan Rohde, lettered by Kalvin Travis, retouched by Pinpin, and purroof – read by Harriet The editor in chief is dave Adams, the meowanaging editor is David Goldberg, the layout director is Kuanyong, the layout assistant is Yoshimoto, and the licensing is by Hokke the Mirin.
The purremise and plot are quite intriguing with the amewsing characters and situations, and the art is extremely sumptuous, from the beautiful characters to the intricate scenery, with about a dozen full page pics, a two-page spurread, and many large panels! Helck is the 2014 sword & sorcery fantasy manga series by Nanaki Nanao which is also soon to be the anime TV series which I am eagerly anticipating! It purrtains to the titular character who is a wanted fugitive and a top contender in the demon lord tournyament! The world is populated my many sentient species,
Kohaku, the King if the Heavenly East is the fast, agile, powerful Blue-eyed, fair-skinned, White-haired warrior mage demoness with the feline ear pinna. Asuta is the fast, stealthy, young tomboyish 5’5” fair-skinned, short Black-haired, Amber-eyed mystical demoness spy with the feline ear pinna, and her younger sister Isuta has the similar appurrance, skills and abilities but with daggers and longer hair!

So like, Student Council’s Discretion is the 2006 comedic, slice of life, school life series of light novels and manga written by Aoi Sekina, of which there is the delightful 2009 animated TV series adaptation! It purrtains to the high school student council members Kurimu, Chizuru, Minatsu, and Matuyu are all girls, and the new male member Ken. Most of the amewsing plots purrtain to their otaku hobby interests and discussions that usually convene within their council meeting room.
They are humans, but sometimes they cosplay! In Season One’s fourth episode, they parody wonderful Strike Witches anime, with Kurimu as Miyafuji (with shiba inu ears & tail), Chizuru as Sakamoto (with Doberman ears & tail) and Minatsu as Perrine (with Chartreux cat ears & tail), fur shur! In Season One’s 7th & 10th episodes, Chizuru wears the kitsujimimi (sheep) kigurum (onesie), and during the series’ close / end credits all four girls are briefly depicted in the bunny outfits!

Adachi to Shimamura is the 2012 slice of life / yuri light novel series by Hitoma Iruma which was adapted into the 2020 anime TV series! It purrtains to the high school students Sakura Adachi (the Black – haired girl, voiced by Akari Kito ) and Hougetsu Shimamura (the Brown-haired girl voiced by Miku Ito) who go from the initial acquaintance to best friends with the romance in bloom! Neither of them are kemonomimi, nor do they even dress the part…
…however, in epurrsode 11, “The Moon and Determination” in the train station after going shopping, Adachi receives the relationship advice from the unauthorized fortune-teller (

Busou Shinki is the franchise by Konami of many of Japanese action figures, model kits, video games, anime, radio shows, records, manga, and light novels of the slice of life flavor, science fiction genre, and mecha musume characters since 2006! The Shinki or Armored War Goddess are small doll-sized armored sentient gynoids who compete in the dangerous battles conducted by their owners. This reminds mw somewhat of another mecha musume series Frame Arms Girls! Some of the girls have the armor of the animal motif, such as the risu (squirrel), neko (cat), Inu (dog), usagi (rabbit), Iruka (dolphin) and the mermaid armor!

My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is the 2020 ero / romantic comedy manga by Itsutsuse, which was adapted into the anime TV series earlier this year! It purrtains to the high school student Pochita (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda) who is meowgickally reincarnated into the stray Akita dog who is adopted by his classmate Karen Inukai (voiced by Saya Aizawa) with some purrticularly zany, ecchi results!
For example, in epurrsode four, Karen the Black-haired, fair-skinned red-eyed girl attempts to fur-ther bond with the dog when she wears the sexy kuro inu mimi outfit compurrised of tthe Black bikini, ears, paw gloves, thigh highs, the white-tipped tail, and the “Doggylingus” device which translates the canine language! It is the rather amesing tale, but it is not for the widdle kitties!

Sakura Trick is the 2011 yuri / school life / slice of life manga by Tachi which was adapted into the anime TV series in 2014. It purrtains to the best friends Yu Sonoda and Haruka Takayama who are now in high school. As they become immersed in the new social circles and academic obligations, they have less time to spend alone with each other, but there is much secret kissing when they are!
Although they are 100 purrcent human girls and generally not even cosplayers, we do see them dressed as such during the epurrsodes’ amewsing opening / titles and closing / credits! For example, we briefly see their friends Yuzu Īzuka and Kaede Ikeno as catgirls in the open; whilst we briefly see Yu as the dog girl and classmate Kotone Noda as the bunny girl in the close! Kawaii!

So like, Step By Step Face Painting and Dressing Up For Kids is the full color hardcover book written by costumer Petra Boase with Bettina Graham’s face paintings that transform kids into various kemonomimi, fantasy folk and characters! Portraying those characters are the child models Alex, Alice, Anthony, Clare, Faye, Jade, Jesica, Joe, Joshua, Kelly, Kirsty, Lucy, Otis, Patrick, Rosey, Sophy, Tanya, Timothy, Zoe and Zosia!
The fauna includes the Black cat, tiger, lion, dog, rabbit, bee, butterfly, mouse, owl, panda, monkey, dinosaur, and the dragon, but that is just a portion of the characters that are depicted in over 300 photos by John Freeman! They are totally cute, fur shur! You know, this book was published by Smithmark in 1995, which means those widdle kiddies would all be in their 30’s by now, and we hope that they are still the avid cosplayers!

Other women who we will fondly regard as the “honorary catgirls” because of their lovely leopurrd purrint couture include mews anchor and author Nicole Wallace who wore the Red leopurrd purrint blouse with the Black & White rosettes, whilst hosting the March 7th 2023 epurrsde of MSNBC’s TV series Deadline Whitehouse; and actress Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra who wore the leopurrd purrint blouse in Season 50 epurrsode 113 of The Young and the Restless!

Lastly but not leastly for this month’s spotlight, we also wish to mention the uncredited actress purrtraying the polite woman in the Snow Leopurrd print coat offering the parking spot to the other woman in Sam Adams Beer’s “Your Cousin’s Brighter Boston” TV spot, and the uncredited actress wearing the leopurrd prrint dress with the matching shoes to put the spots in Poshmark’s “The Perfect Side Hustle” TV spot! Firstly, we are pleased to purrsent two illustrations by Lumshock! Given how this is the Year of the Rabbit and that Easter is this month, it seems only appurropurriate that we should have more usagimimi (bunny girl) imagery, such as his fan art of the Looney Toons character “Lola Bunny”, who first appurred in the Space Jam animated movie! She is so peppy and purretty in her cropped tank top and compurression shorts with the basketball!
Then our gallery is graced by the pic of the lovely yet weary “Cowgirl in Meadow”! Lumshock expurrimented with the fish-eye lens technique of this poor bovine lass in the soft leather mini dress who has spilt some of her milk amidst the field of flowers. We hope that the rest of the day will impurrove muchly for her! Lumshock used the Krita software’s pencils, markers, brushes and smudge stick for both of those illustrations!

Nextly we are delighted to display two more pics by Alexcia Reynolds of her tora musume (tiger girl) fursona character Torako Hitonare! Born on an August 22nd on the planet Mau, Torako the future child of Toraboushi and Abenti Gaiger a.k.a. Sailor Tiger / Sailor Mau! A dual-citizen of Earth and Mau, Torako’s blood type is O-, and her zodiac sign is Leo!

To top off this month’s additions to the mewseum, we are ecstatic to unveil four more pieces of Doctor Who fan art by Melody Rondeau! Done with the traditional media,“Off-kilter” depicts The 2nd Doctor, his companions Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield and the evil Cyberman who has stolen Jamie’s kilt; whilst “Six of One and Half Dozen of Another” depicts the 6th Doctor poised to fisticuff with his enemies the Silurian, Sea Devil, Sontaran, Cyberman and The Master!
